The client: Klondyke Garden Centres

Established in the 1980s, Klondyke Garden Centres is a family-owned, independent group. It operates 22 sites across England, Scotland and Wales with a 20 acre flagship site in Carlisle.

The challenge:

Through ambitious expansion plans the business had grown exponentially but had never reviewed its telecoms across the group. There were many telecoms contracts in place with multiple terms and end dates, and many of which were on expensive and lengthy BT tariffs.

The solution:

Working closely with the Operations Director we collated the client’s telecoms billing to clarify existing contracts, diarise future renewal dates and action any renewal windows or out-of-contract rates.
We sourced a solution from our trusted board of suppliers, selecting the supplier who was able to offer the lowest line rentals, the best call rates, improved service levels and also supply a converged solution that allowed all company land lines to ring company mobiles for 1p per minute, reducing the client’s call spend further.

The results:

Our fully managed solution allowed Klondyke Garden Centres to receive 100% of the savings realised with the new telecoms contract, thereby immediately improving cash flow. Our ongoing dedicated account management ensures that the company will never miss a renewal date and we continue to manage all the administration relating to the contract on behalf of the client.

Overall savings for this telecoms review ran at £20,000 (30%) in the first year.
