About our client:

Our client is a successful sheet metal manufacturing business that has seen rapid expansion over the recent years with investments in new premises, new machinery and the latest computer technology.

Client requirements: 

As a large energy user the business' costs had increased significantly and their electricity contract was rolled by their previous supplier. Having realised this was the situation, our client was keen for BCR Associates to carry out a full review in order to determine if anything could be done to rectify the situation.

Our approach:

Our dedicated account manager gathered all the relevant information regarding contract end dates and consumption patterns, in order to provide a comprehensive review of the situation. We researched the solutions and came up with proposals that would secure a reduction in price going forward with two new fixed price contracts from different suppliers. We managed the entire process on their behalf, all without cost or obligation.

The project:

After gathering the relevant paperwork BCR Associates carried out a full review and dentified that the electricity contract was in fact a rolled contract on very uncompetitive rates and the gas contract costs were also higher than required for the size of business. Our close relationship with our supply chain allowed us to secure very competitive electricity prices 9 months ahead of the contract finishing giving an added benefit of lower prices in a rising market. Termination was managed by us to ensure that the old contract finished correctly and the new contract would start automatically for the client.

The results:

Despite energy prices continuing to rise in today's climate, the expert knowledge of our specialists reduced our clients annual expenditure by £14,000 (14%) on electricity and £2200 (16%) on gas fixing prices for
up to 3 years forward. In addition to this, our client did not have to worry about any paperwork to manage these contracts, as all the contract paperwork and terminations were handled by BCR Associates giving them more time to focus on frontline duties.
