About our client:

Cleeve Care is the premier provider of 24 hour high quality residential, nursing and dementia care, with multiple premises within Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.

Client requirements:

Steve Whiting, Finance Director at Cleeve Care, contacted BCR Associates to initiate a review of their electricity and gas costs across their sites to try to contain an ever escalating cost base. Cleeve Care felt they didn't have the time or knowledge to effectively run the cost base and wanted to outsource and free up their staff to concentrate on running their core business or providing excellent care to their residents.

Our approach:

Our dedicated Account Managers worked closely with Steve Whiting, Finance Director, to identify and understand the business' essential business expenditure and contractual obligations. This enabled BCR Associates to conduct a full review so a clear and concise recommendation and buying strategy could be provided.

The project:

The project required BCR Associates to provide evaluatations of pre-contractual market from bills provided by Cleeve Care. After bills validation a forecast expenditure budget was produced based on accurate consumption. We worked closely together with our panel of preferred suppliers to negotiate the best possible solution for our client's needs. The two main aims were to provide financial savings and also free up their management resources.

Phase 1 was to review energy with a view to look at telecoms in phase 2.

The results:

As a result of our work all energy billing was simplified onto one bill across all site with one renewal date. BCR Associates continue to manage their energy and review on an annual basis.

Financial savings to date:

Site A - 23.4% saved on electricity costs per annum

Site B - 18.6% saved on electricity costs per annum

Site C - 8.7% saved on gas costs per annum

BCR Associates to become a trusted part of Cleeve Care's outsourced management team and we are just about to launch phase 2, the telecoms cost review.
