How does it work?
The VoA ratings listings, came into effect on 1st April 2010. These are issued every 5 years
as a result of the re-evaluation of all commercial property rates in the UK.
Whilst the valuations determine how much your business will pay for the next five years,
calculations are often incorrect as they can be based on “drive-by” and out-of-date information,
rather than on actual surveys taken of your premises and individual circumstances.
For companies on the wrong scale, this can mean overpaying by thousands of pounds - money
which would be better used elsewhere in the business.
